Living Nativity

We had a great time visiting the Living Nativity at church last Sunday.  It was very chilly!  The girls loved seeing baby Jesus and the camels:)

 

 

Bailey’s Preschool Christmas Program

Bailey had her Christmas Program today!  It was so fun to be able to be there as a family (so thankful Daddy was able to be there too!).  Here is Daddy and Tales looking for Bailey (notice they have the exact same eyes/ facial expressions!!!!)

My talented friend, Amy Grimme took these pics a few weeks ago!  I can not tell you how nice it is to have Blair home for the holidays to be able to use one of these for our Christmas Cards :).   I look forward to framing several of these soon!

Taylor 2 1/2 years old.

Taylor, I can’t believe that you are now 2 1/2 years old!  You are such a sweet, gentle spirit with facial expressions that keep us all laughing!  Here are some recent highlights:

- You weigh about 31 lbs.  You are growing every day right now it seems!  You where mostly 3T, with some of Sissy’s 4T shirts/dresses. You are a size 7 shoe after basically skipping over size 6 :). 

-You LOVE, LOVE, LOVE jewelry.  You are rarely caught without accessories.  You like to put princess clothes on too, but accessories come first :).  You have opinions on what shoes to wear daily!

-You still love to be cuddled after waking up and I hope this never stops.  Holding you is one of my greatest joys every day.  You also give the best hugs and “pat” the person’s back after you hug them.  God has given you the gift of encouragement Taylor!

-You love going to “school”, ie-Parent’s Morning Out on Thursdays like a big girl.  You have several friends that go and you run into class every thursday! 

-You are doing well in potty-training.  You like to go on the big girl potty and we are just working at staying dry.  You also still have your pacie.  We need to work on these things in the next 6 months.  You have your first dentist appointment next week and I am sure he will tell Mommy to get rid of the pacie :(. 

- You are a great nurturer and “mother”.  You love babies and really helped Mommy when we kept baby Abby.  You love getting the pacie and throwing diapers away!  You play with baby-dolls a lot!

- Your favorite foods are Mac N Cheese, oatmeal, salad with ranch, and anything pasta.  You like most vegetables and fruit and dislike most dessert!  You are the child always stealing healthy food off Mommy’s plate :). 

-You are starting to count consistently and learn your letters.  You know most of your colors now!  You aren’t too interested in learning still, but we work daily to just incorporate learning into every-day-life :).  Your big sissy is a great teacher and we try to have “School” a couple times a week.  You love to do anything Bailey does.  Your speech is very clear and everyone comments on how much you are talking!

We love you Taylor.  You are such a sweet blessing to your Daddy and I as well as Bailey.  My prayer is that we will enjoy the rest of the “2’s as the 3’s are approaching fast ;)”.

Bailey Elizabeth Cellon

SO, Bailey turned FOUR on September 4th, 2007.  I am just know documenting her year.  Shame.  So sorry Bailey! 

Bailey, you are the MOST amazing kid.  You are full of life and joy.  You love to help others and make friends.  Your silly antics keep us all laughing daily.  You are such a helper to Mommy most days now and even have “chores” to complete!  Here are some highlights “right” now:

- You were 38lbs and 40 3/4 in. at your last doctor’s visit (75%+).  You are rarely sick and luckily we only have to go once a year now :).

- We were concerned with your episodic stuttering and have since gotten you enrolled with the “speech doctor”.  You love having “special” time with Ms. Collette working on your talking :). 

-You have grown out of most of your food allergies.  Still no milk out of a glass or whole eggs though for now. 

- You LOVE dress-up.  You are driving Mommy and Daddy batty at your 10 changes of clothes a day.  Mommy’s favorite is when you where clothes on your head as “hair” :). 

- You have a thirst for God’s Word and remind me to do our verses daily.  You memorize quicker then your Momma and are teaching me so much at what it means to have a child-like faith.  You are starting to ask questions about salvation and helping others in need. 

- You love your little sister and play well with her most of the time!  Watching Dora/Diego and playing Princess is a daily occurence :).

- Your favorite foods are Mac n Cheese, Pizza, Chick-Fil-A and fruit.  You don’t like veggies much except broccoli.  You LOVE cereal like your daddy and anything sweet :). 

- You are in your second year of preschool with Mrs. Segebarth and love going on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

- Your chores now include making your bed, cleaning up your room and unloading the dishwasher with Mommy.  You also are a great towel-folder! 

-You can write all your letters now and we are starting the beginning stages of reading.  You are picking up sight words and are such an eager learner!  Everyone always asks, “Is she really just 4?”. 

-Most importantly, you are a precious child of the TRUE KING, given as a blessing to me and your Daddy.  We couldn’t be more thankful that God chose us to be your parents.  We love you Bailey.

 

 

USMC 236th Birthday Ball

Blair and I had the privilege of going to the Ball last night.  We hadn’t been in 7 years!  It was nice to get a little dressed up and have a good night out.  The girls had a “sleep-over” at Emma and Gracie’s house and had a blast :).  The ball was large (around 500 people) with all the traditional ceremony and cutting of the cake.  We arrived just in time to take our seats, so we weren’t able to get “professional” pics done, but here are the few that I took that turned out!

 

 

ps- I borrowed this dress from a friend- it fit perfectly and I was so thankful I didn’t have to buy one!

Bailey’s Rapunzel Party with Emma and Gracie!

Bailey wanted to have her birthday party back home with her two best girlfriends, Emma and Gracie (sisters :)).  We set the party up to be very low-key since she had already had 2 family Tangled parties!  Bailey loved the “floating” lights, balloons and all the girls loved the party favor crowns.  Emma and Gracie bought Bales a trunk full of Princess dress up clothes to go with the princess shoes we had bought and the Rapunzel hair :).  They all had a blast watching Tangled and playing Princesses!

So sorry for not posting very frequently!  I feel terrible that I still haven’t blogged about Bailey’s birthday almost 2 MONTHS ago!  That is on my to-do this week :).  Today we had a SS Halloween playdate and the girls had a blast!  Not sure if we will “dress” up again or not so decided to go ahead and post picks of my cuties.  Big props to Mrs. C, my wonderful MIL who made all the costumes!

The Patterson Clan

We had a great visit with my family one of the days we were in Alabama.  Aunt Natalie and Uncle Travis came over for the day to celebrate Bailey’s (and Travis’s) birthdays :)
