THE BEACH!!!!
Aunt Lindsay is visiting from Charlotte for a couple of days. She is done with teaching school for the summer. We of course had to head to the beach (Lindsay LOVES the beach :)). Bailey did fantastic. She liked to sit in the sand and have the waves come up to her. She loved passing the sand through her fingers too. Luckily, she didn't try to eat it! The weather was cooler and it was a beautiful day.

Bailey......cutting teeth and trying to crawl....Gator Motivation
Bailey is teething!!!! Yea! Finally, no more Miss Nubbies. Her two front teeth are cresting out of her gums (ouchie). Should be in full force in the next week or so. Doesn't seem to be bothering her too much (Thank God). She still is NOT crawling. She can't figure out how to have her arms and legs move at the same time. She is loving to pull up and stand. She can walk( with help) very well now and even has taken a couple steps by herself. Who knows, maybe she just won't crawl at all? I put her in her Gator gear today to motivate her to work hard like the Gators do :). We also miss Gator football. So today is work hard on crawling day- Cheer Miss Bailey on if you can!!!! GOOOOO B A I L E Y!!!!!!!! WOOOHOOO.

5 years of Marriage to the most wonderful man
Today marks 5 YEARS of marriage to my sweetie, Blair. I couldn't be prouder to have him by my side day by day. We have grown from 22year old newlyweds to 27 year old parent's. We have moved 4 times and gone through a major war deployment. We have endured countless hours, days, weeks and months apart due to his service to our country. We have welcomed the birth of our daughter, Bailey who has made our relationship grow more then I ever imagined. We have grown together in God, in ourselves and each other. I am the luckiest woman in the world. Thank you to all that have prayed for us in the last few years- your love has helped us get to this point. I can't wait to see what the next 5, 10, 25 years hold for us.

Dining Out vs. Prom
Last night was our Battalion's Dining Out. This is a formal event with a long tradition. Normally it is a "Mess night" that is for Marine's only. This one obviously included spouses. It was fun to get dressed up and have some fun. I will never forget dancing the Electric slide with my girls and the CO's wife Michelle. We rock guys! Jace came over to our house and we had a babysitter watch both Jace and Bailey. I bet she won't be having any children anytime soon :) (she is a college student with no immediate plans anyway). LOL. We were told they did fairly well. Bailey gave us a gift and slept until 7am this morning. Thank you Bailey. Mommy really appreciated the extra hour.
The funny thing about all these Balls/Dining Outs that we have to go to is how much it resembles prom. We get to admire other's hair/dress/shoes/jewelry why the guys stand around talking shop. The guys are uncomfortable with their outfit (I would be too honestly-I was sweating with my dress, I can't imagine how hot the guys were in their Dress Blues). We had "professional" pictures taken. We'll send those out when we get them.

My new carseat
Bailey does not go for her 9 mo WCC (Well Child Check) until the 20th, but I am afraid she may have already reached the 22lb threshold. Her car seat currently only goes up to 22lbs. After MONTHS of research which included hours reviewing seats online, talking with friends, going to different stores to check feel/price and watching Bailey literally grow before my eyes I finally made a decision! We bought the Britax Boulevard. This is a very nice, VERY SAFE car seat that is a little on the pricey side. We were able to find it online for almost $100 cheaper then retail with $8 shipping (well, my very savvy friend Allison found it and was so generous to share the info). Bailey and I both couldn't be happier. It was easy to install and she just looks so grownup now. This seat will last until she is 65lbs, so no weight worries there. It also has awesome side impact wings that most car seats do not have. I almost want one! We didn't have a choice on the color due to the closeout sale, but we can always "girlie" it up a little bit.
I LOVE my new car seat MommY!
I'm a big girl now.

I am officially old
It is 6:39am on a Thursday morning. Bailey normally awakes us all at 6am. I expected to have her wake up actually a little earlier then that because we put her to bed a little early last night. I have been up since 5:15AM (Don't ask-it involves Blair stepping into something left by Mr. Snickers on his way to work). Lovely way to start the day. The old part is I couldn't go back to sleep! Bailey has yet to wake up (this of course is the LATEST she has slept in in over a month) and I am sitting her typing this. Not that I don't love all of you, but seriously....the TODAY show isn't even on yet ;). I have had my breakfast and coffee and am just sitting here being quiet so she can get her rest.
Is it too soon to become old at 27? I miss my sleep!

Playdate #2
Playdate round 2! Jace (Bailey's handsome boyfriend) and Allison came over. We had a blast. Jace just started crawling and was trying to teach Bailey. Hopefully she will pick it up soon. I feel like it will be any day now! We all had a good time. By the way, thanks to the Odle family for Bailey's swimsuit! So excited to have it for her.
Jace playing the piano.
Ahhh... the wedding will be July 7th, 2029! You all are invited ;) Bailey will be a graduate of UF and Jace will have seen the light and chosen UF over Texas A & M- haha- his parent's both went there ;).
Yumm-O! Jace is enjoying the octupos
Bailey says, "NO! That is my octopus!"
Jace "NO, NO it is mine!" LOL. They seriously would pull the toy out of each other's mouth, but it in their own and just continue. Hilarious (and kinda gross!). They both have come such a long way. Jace has had his own struggles with food allergies. I can't wait until they can actively play with each other.
Playdate #1
Today we had a playdate at my house. There ended up being two "rounds" due to naptimes! The first round Brandy and her two sons came along with Candy. Bailey thought Tanner was a hoot. We had a lot of fun and tried to stay cool in the 95+heat!!!

Bday presents for Bailey
Today I bought two toys used from someone here in town. A giggly Elmo chair that giggles when you move and a piano. Bailey loved both at first sight! The piano is super cool and interactive and at a nice height. She has already pulled herself to her knees several times.

I'm concentrating hard!
So happy
Good form Bailey!
