Home Improvements: Downstairs bathroom

I don't think I have any pictures of the "old" bathroom, but meet the new! While my Mom was here we took down a lot of wallpaper and painted the bathroom a fresh color. I was afraid the paint turned out a little too dark, but really do like how it all turned out. I never could have accomplished this without my Mom. The project probably took around 10 hours in total spread over several days... (Blair- hope you like it :)).

Here is a pic of the "river" next to our house that formed from the 22 or so inches last week all within 4 days. Luckily, we didn't sustain any permanent damage, but some of our friends had some pretty bad flooding. I am just SO glad to have seen the sun today. Guess what though? RAIN is forecasted tomorrow along with 60 degree temps. Where did the 70's and 80's go? 95 last saturday and 65 tomorrow?

Grandma's visit :)

Grandma P (my mom) came for a visit this past week. It was MUCH appreciated and needed as we ended up being house bound from Sun-Thursday due to some 22 inches of rain during those 4 days! We had a ton of fun and accomplished some house projects, but most of all we just tried to be silly and give lots of hugs and kisses. Thank you Mom for coming...we miss you already!

Here is Tales dancing away :)
Bailey hugs are the best!

Rain, rain...go away...!

Today it has rained..all..day..LONG! It is supposed to rain for the next few days. We are so thankful Grandma P. is here with us to help with entertainment!!

Here is Tales being sneaky and climbing up the stairs...:)
Bales. Putting her Birthday present from Aunt Lindsay to excellent use. Cupcake umbrella AND matching rain boots. Too cool!

Bailey and Jace's 3rd Birthday Party!

Bailey and Jace had a combined Birthday party on Saturday. We kept it very low-key and the kids had a blast! Bailey and Jace love having their parties together and since they have a lot of the same friends, it works out to share the special day. It also lightens the load of the Mommy's and Daddy's moving (last year for the Schneiders) and deployed spouses (me!). Thanks guys for hosting this year.

Bounce house that Jason got from MCCS on base for rent with a SLIDE!!
Bales and Jace riding down the hill. Such special friends :)
Logan enjoying the cookie....a little too much!

Bailey and Jace with matching Diego Cookie Cakes! Great job Allison :).

Watch out Daddy!
Jace...could he be any Cuter?!?!

Homemade Tortillas

Stop. Do NOT pass go. Collect your $200 saved :).

I have desired to make my own tortillas for some time, but always thought it would be too hard and unhealthy. These tortillas changed my mind. They seemed so easy that I made them tonight in anticipation of taco night tomorrow. YUMM-O! So easy, frugal AND healthy. No perservatives, shortening. I even swapped out 1 cup of the white flour for whole wheat :). I will try and do at least 1 1/2 c. next time to see how they do. Try these...if I can do it, you can do. However, let me tell you it will be so hard to not eat them straight out of the pan ;)!
