Christmas Day 2010

We were at my parent’s house for Christmas Day and had a great visit with them.  Here is Bales with “Barbie” Grandma’s tree

Last moments…

Blair left the morning of the 20th.  I was so thankful he was there to celebrate my birthday (I turned 30 on Dec. 19th :)).  We had so much fun with him home and really enjoyed the time that he was here.  We felt it was a good mix of relaxation, sleep, fun and family.  Oh yeah.  food…we had some good food!

Here is Daddy with his two precious little girls (although much bigger then 7 months ago when he last saw them!)

Aquarium trip

One of the “fun” things we did when Blair was home was take a trip to the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium.  We own season passes and have enjoyed going multiple times.  We ate at one of our favorite places, the Icehouse on the way there.  While the food was good, the kids were terrible…..we said no more eating out ever after that meal :).

Here is Bales on her “turtle”

December Sickness

Since this blog is my “scrapbook” of my family at this point, I wanted to post these pics even though we are totally fine now!

A week after Blair came home (during the weekend that the whole Cellon Clan was here) we all came down with a bad cold.  Taylor and Blair had it the worst.

Here are Bales and Tales with their blankies…

Poor Tales had bronchiolitis…she was put on antibiotics and we had to break out her nebulizer again. Luckily, she enjoyed holding it all by herself.  Such a big girl.

Poor Blair.  Came all the way home to get sick.  AND he got sick again once he got back in-country!  Boo.

Mama Taylor

“Rocky” Grammie bought Taylor a bunch of doll accessories for her dolly.  She loves all of them, but I thought she was super cute carrying her baby in the wrap thing!  She lived most of her first 9 months in a wrap/carrier (having 2 kids 19 months a part kind of demands that!).   I miss being able to carry my baby around…

Snow days

We were snowed in all day Monday and Tuesday. Here are some things that kept us busy:

Time-out time!! Bailey was very adament about her wants/desires during the snow days. "NO Mom..I don't like that choice!!" was a common sentence. Hence, the time out :). Taylor is sympathetic and went to keep Bailey company.
Taylor channelling Michael Jackson with the one glove look. (Notice the messy hair and pj's- we tried our best to be true to the "snow day" look!)
Bailey's hoarding issues...

My creative princess cross country skiing.

Taylor and the Potty!~

A few days ago Taylor told me she needed to go potty...I blew it off and was like ok sweetie.. Well, she proceeded to then go #2 in her diaper. I was astonished that she knew she had to go! From then on everytime she says she wants to go potty (a couple of times a day) we go. Almost every time she sits down she has gone #1. Today after dinner she said "potty!" We went to the potty with some potty books and she went #2 all on her own!! I couldn't be prouder. She is well over a year ahead of Bailey in this department. I know she won't be completely potty trained for awhile, but hopefully we won't encounter all the tribulations we had with Bailey (those experiences, after all were only a few short months ago!)

With everyone at our house one of the favorite times was BATH Time!!  so cute to see all the girlies enjoying playing together (happily for once :)).  Can’t wait until July to add another baby to the mix (Lindsay’s, NOT mine!)

Tea parties and Dancing Santa

The Cellon Clan came up for a few days while Blair was home.   The cousins all had fun playing tea parties and just generally causing mass destruction.  Alice is 3 months older then Taylor.  A 3 year old and 2 1-year olds can fight a lot too :).

My sweet niece Alice.  I’m so jealous of her curls!

Pete bought this Dancing Santa for the girls last Christmas and they absolutely loved playing with it.  It “accidently” became broken after awhile…ahem…Uncle Johnny?

Snow Day

It snowed here today.  And I do mean it snowed!  We have at least 4 inches…and it hasn’t stopped snowing since we woke up!  The girls and I bundled up and headed out mid-morning.

Both girls are down for a nap and I am getting to know my new laptop.  Be prepared with a ton of blog posts soon.  My old computer was super slow, so I had to quit posting….now I am excited to keep it up again!
