On friday morning, my new friend Nancy invited us to join her and her boys at the aquarium. We had not been (mainly due to the high prices) and were excited to go. She was able to get us in free b/c she is a member…awesome! We even got to see/ be there for a military homecoming. Something Nancy and I have done a total of 5 times. We were tearing up just seeing the Navy family reunited.
Here is the Mama turtle and all her baby turtles.
Bailey with Thomas (who is just a couple weeks younger then Bailey). They were two peas in a pod…very high energy!
Bailey, Clark (who is a couple weeks older then Tales), Thomas and Taylor. TOO CUTE!~ (PS- it is impossible to get a pic of 4 toddlers!)
The infamous komodo dragon. Thomas talked to Bailey about it a week ago on the beach and Bailey kept asking me questions….Does the komodo move? Does it have a Mama? What does it eat?
Nancy with the kids looking at all the fish!
The kids on the dolphin statue
Nancy and Thomas coloring a snail puppet. They had a ton of educational activities for older kids, but this was really the only one geared to preschoolers.
Bailey staring in awe at the jellyfish
Tales in the submarine!
They had a gorgeous nature trail and several decks that overlook the water. Here is a fake “bird’s nest”. Bailey is sitting on the one egg helping it to grow bigger. She stayed there for like 15 minutes!!
Taylor and the boys found other ways to entertain themselves. Here they are getting “sticks” to help build up the nest.
All in all, it was a fantastic day! Nancy is also a runner and we joined up forces at 0600 this morning and ran 12 miles together (without kids). Some days running 12 miles is a breeze compared to caring for our two toddlers 18ish months apart :)
