HOME

Such a simple word.  Home.  There is no place like it!  We are so, so, so thankful for the time spent in VA beach.  We learned a lot and experienced much.  However, we are also thankful to be at home :).  Here are some things that I wanted to record so I would not forget what I learned during the past 10 weeks:

1.  Home really is where Blair, Bailey and Taylor are.  Period.

2.  We can live on a WHOLE lot less then we think we can.

3.  Clutter is paralyzing (we are selling at least 1/4 of our stuff at a garage sell this weekend!)

4.  There are great people everywhere.  We were all fortunate enough to get to know people that touched our lives!

5.  A kitchen is a blessing, not a need.

6.  A bathtub is a blessing, not a need.

7.  Hot water is a blessing, not a need.

8.  A/c is a blessing, not a need :).

9.  Eating out 5x/week tastes great.  So great you may just gain 3-5 pounds in 10 weeks :).

10.  Our house is a mansion.

11.  Cooking is a pleasure and a way to serve my family, not a chore.

12.  Having maid service is not as good as you might think.

13.  Having 3 washers/dryers available is awesome!  I am still adjusting to going back to just my one… :)

14.  You can do a lot with a microwave and a mini-fridge.

15.  We are so, so, so blessed to have each other.

16.  A sofa bed isn’t SO bad for 10 weeks.  At least it is a bed.

17.  Our bed is the most comfortable bed ever in our house.

18.  God is the same in Jacksonville, VA beach, DC, Charlottesville, etc.  He will never leave us or forsake us!
