We have a name!

Blair and I have finally decided after much debate on baby #2's name! Blair came up with Anneleigh, and while we both liked it- we found we were having to spell it for everyone to even understand what we meant. I don't want my child to have to go through life like that! We had another conversation and really liked Taylor. SO, Taylor Anneleigh it is! This is exactly what we did with Bales too...we decided on Elizabeth and then didn't really like it after awhile and went with Bailey Elizabeth. We are so weird.

This is me on 1/1/09...I think I was 23 or so weeks.

Our trip to FL

Below are some pics my brother took with his awesome camera. They are pretty much the only ones that I have of our whole trip that she is looking at the camera. His camera takes pics immediately, while mine has that stupid delay. Enjoy!

How old are you Bailey?

My baby is 16 months old today!

I just realized today is Bailey's 16th month birthday. I have no picture due to the fact that we spent the day lounging around the house trying to desperately knock the vicious colds we have down.

Bailey continues to amaze me on a daily basis. She is now sleeping through the night normally until 7am. She is still between 1 and 2 naps a day, but does much better on the days where 1 nap is the only possibility (Sundays). We are still working on getting her to drink soy milk out of a sippy as opposed to drinking her prescription formula out of a bottle. It is coming slowly, but hopefully soon we will be there! Her favorite things are putting together puzzles, throwing her "ball" and playing with her pianos. She also learned how to "bark" like a dog and tries to do that to our kitty :).

I am excited that in 2 months Blair will be home and less then 2 months after that we will welcome our second daughter home. There are lots of things to do before both of those events happen! I am so glad God gives us 9 months (or 8 in Bailey's case) to prepare! Overall the pregnancy continues to go well. Their have been a couple signs that preeclampsia might be making a comeback...I have been gaining weight a little too fast in the past month. Some of it has already come off in the past few days (fluid)....

Christmas at the Cellon's.

Christmas Posts!!

We made it back to NC on Friday night. I am done traveling for a very long time by myself with a toddler. All I can say is that we made it alive! It wasn't fun or glamorous and I have Elmo loves Pets embedded in my brain, but we made it!!!! We had a great time at both the Patterson's and Cellon's. Here are some pics from the trip.

Happy early bday to me from Iraq :)

Blair sent me an early bday gift all the way from IRAQ! This is the new black "pleated" bag from Vera Bradley. I love it! It fits all my stuff and is just the right size. I actually have never seen this bag and am really impressed that he did such a good job. Thank you Blair! I love you.

Party Girl

Last night we went to the Christmas Party for our battalion, 2nd Radio BN. Bailey was able to wear her new Christmas dress from "aunt diane". I thought she looked super cute! We had good food and she got to see Santa for the first time (she wasn't so happy to meet him though!). She and Jace had fun chasing each other around all night. Let's just say Allison and I look forward to going to a function in the future where we don't burn 300 calories :)!

Bailey loves Vera too!

Bailey gets into some of my cabinets....in one we have our "lunchboxes" that we used to take to work. She prefers the Vera Bradley one :). Isn't she just the cutest baby girl ever?
Going out to lunch momma...see ya later!

Pizza for Bailey!

PIZZA!!! Yes folks, Bailey loved pizza tonight. We ordered a small Hawaiian pizza (my personal fav) and thought Bailey would eat maybe a little bite or two (she already had had some dinner: a 1/2 c of peaches, 1box of raisins, and some goldfish). But, like her Mommy, Bailey can throw down some pizza. She ended up eating a whole slice! It is so nice to be able to have her branch out and try more "regular" foods as long as we avoid egg. I thought pizza surely had egg in it somewhere, but it doesn't! Hallelujah for Bales. Can you imagine life without pizza? I did it for 4 months while still breastfeeding her and it was the FIRST thing I ate when we had to go to her special formula.. In fact, I think it was hawaiian pizza :). Yumm-o.

Happy 15th Bday to me!!

Today Bailey is 15 months old. It feels great to reach this point for a couple of reasons. 1. She can safely try to get off her formula onto soy milk (the doctor said their dependency on formula lessens around this age). and 2. She sleeps till 7am almost every morning now and is down to 1 nap a day for 2 hours most days! This is such a nice schedule compared to where we were even a couple of months ago.

Mom and Bales- She is really starting to love the camera :)

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

My mom and dad came up for Thanksgiving- we had a wonderful time and good food. This is my second time cooking Thanksgiving (both with my Mom's help :)). I think that I could finally do it on my own if needed in the future, which is a nice feeling! I made homemade dressing in the crockpot and it turned out REALLY well!!! That freed up the oven for the turkey and other stuff.

Bailey loved all the attention. Here she is putting a "cup" on her "cup"
