Stats STAT!

We have been home from Florida for a week and half now. I have a ton to update, but we had a Crazy first week back and then were hit with a GI bug for the last couple of days. I feel Blair and I have turned the corner to the land of the living....hopefully we will continue to improve, and we are thankful the girls got just a slight touch of the virus.

Last week, I had Bailey and Taylor's 2 year and 4 mo Well Child Checks. Here are their stats:

Bailey: head: 50.2 cm inches (97%)
weight: 35 inches (75%)
height: 30 lb (75%)
She checked out healthy as a bell!

Taylor: head: 41.5cm (60%)
weight: 14lbs 12oz (60%)
height: 25 in (60%)
The doctor had some good suggestions on her eczema and said I had to wait awhile for allergy testing. Oh well, she seems to be doing better now.

I will hopefully get caught up on some posts soon..but for now I am headed to bed to recover some more.

Cellon Family Pictures

My brother, Travis took some professional pictures of our girls last weekend. Some turned out really great! Below is the link to view them. I still need to do the black/white on some and upload them to snapfish to be printed (for the Grandma's :)). ENJOY!

Taylor 4 months

My precious Taylor turned 4 months old on Saturday! It is hard to believe that she is already 4 months old...I remember this being a turning point for the good with Bailey. 3 months for Taylor was not her best. She has been waking up at night MULTIPLE times (sometimes every 30minutes) and has had difficulty taking naps. I know this can happen to all babies, but it is harder when they were sleeping through the night and now are waking up for no apparent reason. Oh well. This too shall pass. Here is what she has been up to:

-goes to sleep at 7:30. Sometimes goes down well, sometimes not. Wakes up several times at
night. Once to eat. Finally awake, awake at around 7:30.
-naps 3-4x/day. Most short 45minute naps. Some days one longer nap.
-Nurses every 2 1/2-3 hours. Still gets one bottle of breastmilk/day and takes it well.
-Is allergic to milk/eggs. I have started to cut out a lot of SOY and have noticed an improvement over the last few days. Hopefully her rash/sleep will improve!
-Is rolling over like a champ. Rolled from back/front around 14 weeks.
-Loves to read her "books", hold her pacy and play with her bib.
-Scratches her ears when tired and has the marks to prove it!
-Is still content, but has definetely let us know in the past month when she isn't happy!
-Still loves to be all wrapped up with Mommy on the go to sleep, but once awake wants OUT to play and see the world.
-Seems longer and skinnier then Bailey at this age. We have her 4 mo Well Child Check in a few weeks- I have no idea how much she weighs!
-Giggles when I apply lotion on her at night- She loves it!
-looks more and more like her Daddy every single day :)

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

I just finished baking these beautiful Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars. They look delicious and were fairly easy to make. Blair loves sweets and I wanted to make something special for him. The recipe is naturally egg-free making it safe for Bailey to eat as well!. It is not milk free, so Taylor (and therefore I) are not able to partake. Oh well, good for my diet I guess :).

Giggles, Kisses and lots of Smiles!

We had Jace over for the morning. Bailey gets SOOOO excited to see her friend. They laughed A LOT, read books and made general destruction of the living room :). Here are a few pics:

Bailey and Jace- Cheesing it up for the camera. Can you believe they are almost 2?!? Where has the time gone..
Sweet Kisses.
Typical Bailey and Typical Jace :o
So cute! Those blue eyes will get him in trouble later I believe.... :)
Silly girl!

A Daddy is coming home tomorrow!

I watched Gracie and Emma for a friend that has her husband coming home tomorrow from a 7 month deployment. Her girls are 19 months apart just like mine! I watched my 2 with her 2 today and we had a blast reading books, playing dress-up and with baby dolls.

God is so good to bring this family back together again. I just love homecomings!

Here is Gracie (3), Bailey (23 mo) and Emma (21 mo) saying hi to the Garbage truck man :)
silly, silly, silly (they were rocking back and forth on the couch just a giggling. I thought taking a pick of 2 girls was tough- try 3 toddlers!)

Happy Birthday Grandma

Happy Birthday Grandma P! We love and miss you. Hope your day is special and we will celebrate with you soon.

Today marked the first day of the bible study (Protestant Women of the Chapel) that I am very involved in on base. We had around 35 ladies....over 60 people if you count all the kids! Praise the Lord. I am so excited to see how God will move through this semester. Summer is always a nice and relaxing time, but I am ready to get more of a routine going and bible study is always one highlight of my week!

It is good to have Daddy home :)

We picked up Blair from the airport yesterday and have been enjoying time with him ever since. Here he is with his two beautiful girls.

High Heels are a Bailey's best friend :)

When were at Target yesterday, Bailey was a very good girl. She said "Hi Ya!" to everyone she passed and just generally made people smile (and let her Momma get some shopping done). I went around to the toy isle to see if they had anything I could reward her for helping Mommy out. We saw these and they were love at first sight. Bailey puts on my shoes everyday (I have them in a big box that has like 24 cubies in them and she picks one pair and is allowed to wear that pair while I am showering). She stand in front of the shoes every morning, puts her finger to her lips and says, "hmmmmm...." Like it is the biggest decision for her! So cute. Anyway, I bought these...
And she has been wearing them every moment since! Isn't she the cutest with her cheese face?
Taylor surrounded by the Hurricane Bailey
Bailey's new toy organizer (from Toys R us)...I put it together for her this week and she loves it! I love it that it keeps all those little kitchen pieces up and away, but accessible to her.
Enjoying pulling everything in the cubies out. We were trying to teach her to take one box out, play and then put it back before she got another, but well, she is only 23 months old....and this is what 23 month olds do best!

First Oreo's!

Due to Bailey's Egg allergy, the poor girl hasn't had many desserts in her life (don't feel too bad for her, her Daddy gives her chocolate chips everyday! :)). I was looking at the commissary for some animal crackers and picked up a package of Newman's own organic oreo's. They did not have Egg in them. Upon further looking at the ingredients, there was no milk protein either!! This means that Bailey and I got to enjoy our first Oreo's today with some soy milk. YEA. They were a hit with both of us and surprisingly I thought they tasted better then the "real" oreo.

The first thing she did was twist the oreo apart. So funny b/c I know she has never seen anyone do that before!
On a much, much different note....I went to take a pic of Taylor so she wouldn't feel left out on our Oreo experience and this is what I got. Anyone guess what she was doing in this pic?!?! I know she will be mad one day that I posted this, but I thought it was too funny!

my sweet girls

We are slowly recovering from our lovely cold virus we all (except Blair) had last week. Taylor has been waking up every 30minutes (literally) at night the last 2 nights screaming her head off. Not sure if it is just he sickness, or if I ate something that isn't agreeing with her(probably a little of both)...needless to say, I am SLEEPY! :). We have a full week ahead planned so I hope we all continue to get better at a rapid rate. I am now going to hose Bailey down in Purrell after every child event we go to.

My poor, sick Taylor
Doesn't Bailey look like a little girl (not a baby)?
The only pic with both looking. Bailey cracks me up...she has started saying "funny!" after she does something she thinks is hilarious. I try not to laugh sometimes, but it really is funny!

Quarantine

Most of this week was spent at the house....trying to get well. Bailey brought home a cold virus from somewhere and proceeded to share it with her Momma and Taylor. We are all feeling a little better, but it will be a couple more days before we can all breath with our noses again :).

My friend Becca had to attend a funeral so we had the pleasure of watching her 4 1/2 year old daughter Carolyn yesterday. Bailey loved her! She followed her around all day and did exactly what Carolyn did. Bailey learned ballet, how to make strawberry shortcake, how to do a somersault and how to eat at a big girl table. Seriously folks. That was a lot of learning! It is amazing to me how much Bailey will pick up from other kids (then again, it is not like my 28year old just-now-back-to-normal-body is going to be doing any somersaults soon...oh, and ballet? Never!). Carolyn did fairly well with all the tagging along and took a special interest in Taylor.

Yesterday also gave me a glimpse of what it would be like to have 3 children....it would be a lot of work, but fun and LOUD! (3 girls= lots of screeching :)).

Bailey with Carolyn's fliplops on. She wore these ALL DAY (9 hours!)
Earlier in the week when we were having fevers and just chillin' out.

We have been a little sick around here lately, but are all feeling a little better today. Here is Bailey and Taylor doing a little "cheeeese!" :)
Sweet kisses

So many have said Bailey looks like me and Taylor like her Daddy...since I cannot see me, I took pics of both :). What do you think?

Pool time fun

We have been going to the pool at New River Air Station on Fridays for awhile now. They are open from 9-11am just for the little kids. It is great to be able to get out and have some fun without all the kids/Momma's dying in the heat. I also feel much more comfortable bringing Taylor with me as they have a great little shaded area with a bench IN the pool! :).

(forgive the fussy pics- they look fine until I post them here?)

Bailey 23 months

My firstborn turned 23 months old on the 4th of August. I can't believe that next month she turns 2! How can that possibly be?!?! She is leaving babyhood and going head first into toddlerhood for sure. In the next year she will hopefully be using big girl panties, a big girl bed, and eating in a big girl chair. Be still my heart. I am going to have a big girl on my hands soon! Exciting and sad at the same time.....*almost* makes me wish for another baby...even Taylor is getting so big now!

Bailey you are currently:
-Sleeping from 7:30pm-7:15am
-Now drink one glass of soy milk a day...yea! You used to refuse all milk.
-are getting even pickier about foods and still don't eat your veggies, even though Mommy offers them every time. Most recent try? Collard Greens.....you didn't like those so much.
-LOVE cereal and bagels in the morning
-are learning to dress yourself and are getting better at it each day.
-can count to 12, say your ABC's and most of your shapes. Ever color is still " GEEN" though.
-Haven't needed as much discipline lately and are learning to obey Mommy and Daddy in a timely manner.
-Fear have started to develop. You are not a fan of bugs, planes, baby crying or strange men.
-A delight to be around...I just love snuggling and reading book, after book, after book, after book!

Bailey putting on Mommy's shoes the other day. It amazes me that she never gets tired of putting on shoes!
