Christmas Posts!!

We made it back to NC on Friday night. I am done traveling for a very long time by myself with a toddler. All I can say is that we made it alive! It wasn't fun or glamorous and I have Elmo loves Pets embedded in my brain, but we made it!!!! We had a great time at both the Patterson's and Cellon's. Here are some pics from the trip.

Happy early bday to me from Iraq :)

Blair sent me an early bday gift all the way from IRAQ! This is the new black "pleated" bag from Vera Bradley. I love it! It fits all my stuff and is just the right size. I actually have never seen this bag and am really impressed that he did such a good job. Thank you Blair! I love you.

Party Girl

Last night we went to the Christmas Party for our battalion, 2nd Radio BN. Bailey was able to wear her new Christmas dress from "aunt diane". I thought she looked super cute! We had good food and she got to see Santa for the first time (she wasn't so happy to meet him though!). She and Jace had fun chasing each other around all night. Let's just say Allison and I look forward to going to a function in the future where we don't burn 300 calories :)!

Bailey loves Vera too!

Bailey gets into some of my cabinets....in one we have our "lunchboxes" that we used to take to work. She prefers the Vera Bradley one :). Isn't she just the cutest baby girl ever?
Going out to lunch momma...see ya later!

Pizza for Bailey!

PIZZA!!! Yes folks, Bailey loved pizza tonight. We ordered a small Hawaiian pizza (my personal fav) and thought Bailey would eat maybe a little bite or two (she already had had some dinner: a 1/2 c of peaches, 1box of raisins, and some goldfish). But, like her Mommy, Bailey can throw down some pizza. She ended up eating a whole slice! It is so nice to be able to have her branch out and try more "regular" foods as long as we avoid egg. I thought pizza surely had egg in it somewhere, but it doesn't! Hallelujah for Bales. Can you imagine life without pizza? I did it for 4 months while still breastfeeding her and it was the FIRST thing I ate when we had to go to her special formula.. In fact, I think it was hawaiian pizza :). Yumm-o.

Happy 15th Bday to me!!

Today Bailey is 15 months old. It feels great to reach this point for a couple of reasons. 1. She can safely try to get off her formula onto soy milk (the doctor said their dependency on formula lessens around this age). and 2. She sleeps till 7am almost every morning now and is down to 1 nap a day for 2 hours most days! This is such a nice schedule compared to where we were even a couple of months ago.

Mom and Bales- She is really starting to love the camera :)

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

My mom and dad came up for Thanksgiving- we had a wonderful time and good food. This is my second time cooking Thanksgiving (both with my Mom's help :)). I think that I could finally do it on my own if needed in the future, which is a nice feeling! I made homemade dressing in the crockpot and it turned out REALLY well!!! That freed up the oven for the turkey and other stuff.

Bailey loved all the attention. Here she is putting a "cup" on her "cup"

Baby #2 Photos :)

Baby #2 profile :)- we find out Dec. 16th whether it is a boy or girl!

Baby in a Basket

Recently, Bailey has realized that she can fit in her "diaper" basket. She takes out all of the diapers and plops herself in and acts like she is rocking herself. It is the cutest thing! Forgive me of my 3 baskets of laundry in the background....I take them all upstairs after Bales has gone to bed :)

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

For about 5 minutes today, it snowed! It wasn't just an occasional flake either, it was really coming down!!! So exciting for this Florida girl. My friend Sandy and her daughter Olivia were over and they weren't quite as excited (Sandy is from Pennsylvania). Bailey didn't know what to think about it :).

See the flurries on my head?

Happy Fall Day

Bailey LOVES to go outside and the last few days it has been rainy and nasty. Today it was in the low 60's without a cloud in the sky! We spent awhile outside enjoying the weather and all the leaves that have fallen.
Bailey attempting to climb up the treehouse (not quite ready yet :)).Where are you headed to Bales?

Cheese!

CHEESE!!

Yes, Bailey is now eating cheese for the fourth day now and doing well. Yeah!! No more milk allergy! We are still avoiding egg like the plague, but just having one allergen to avoid is so much easier then milk and egg. She loves baby goldfish and cheese sticks now :).

Bailey's favorite things: Shoes and Elmo!

Bailey LOVES shoes...she has gotten very good at putting them on and walking through the house. She puts on her shoes, my shoes and guests shoes (sorry Cecilia!) Next step: heels!

Mike's Farm

Today some of my friend's at Radio BN got together and went to Mike's Farm. It is a farm outside of Jacksonville that has a petting zoo, bakery, restaurant, hayrides, pumpkin patch and tree farm. We enjoyed all but the tree farm today. It was awesome! Bailey didn't really care for the pumpkins too much though- she was more interested in just walking around and getting dirty. The food was really yummy- they do everything "family style" with the same menu everyday: Biscuits with ham, Fried chicken, Mac n cheese, sweet corn, green beans, and mashed potatoes /gravy with 3 choices for dessert (pumpkin delight, cheesecake and banana pudding). My favorite of it all was the ham biscuits!

Is that the one you want Bailey?
Happy Bales

The downside of Mike's Farm: Bailey got her first bee sting as we were heading out. Her finger swelled up pretty bad as well as her forearm. These pics were taken a few hours later after a dose of Advil......it looked like it hurt really bad!!!

The sting was on the inside of her pointy fingerThe swelling- poor girl.
