Our trip to Crestview- at the Park!

Bailey and I have been in Florida for the past 2 weeks visiting family and seeing my brother get married. Congratulations Travis and Natalie, your special day was awesome.

Her is Grandma and Bales sliding down the slide. She LOVED it...we did it over and over and over :)
She liked to try and go "up" the slide too
Pretty girl
Do you like the purple dino Bailey?
Uh oh Daddy- Bailey wants to drive already!

Bailey's first trip to the zoo!

My camera died after the first two pictures....luckily the two other Mom's (Allison and Cecilia) didn't have such misfortune. I will post their pics when I get them.

Her is a sheep
"The kids" Bailey (13m0), Jace (11 1/2mo), Gabriel (2-almost 3)
The trip was really fun and the zoo (while very small) was fairly impressive for Jacksonville. It was perfect weather and at the end one of the zookeepers brought a chicken, turtle, lizard and gator out to touch and feed. Gabriel ate that up. I however was not about to let my 1 year old (or myself) touch that! What am I going to do if I have a boy? Gross. Blair will have to do that- I will stand by with wet-wipes :). Thanks girls for making the weekend fun! (The weekends stink when your husband is gone- everyone else is busy with their families and you are stuck home alone with nothing to do).

Christmas in October

I have been a little under the weather during the beginning of the week and the laundry piled up...we ran out of her 12m pj's and had to use these 18m PJ's Allison's mom got her. I think they are soooooo cute!

The feet are too big- looks like elf shoes :)
I'm a big girl now.

Our trip to Virginia

Bailey and I made a quick trip to the DC area last weekend to visit with some old friends and get my maternity clothes (which looks like I will be in them within a month or so :(). We stayed with our good friends Amber and Tony, also getting to meet their son, Avery. He is 4 months old and just precious.... Amber and I took the little ones to Potomac Mills on Saturday- it is so hard to be so far away from "good" shopping!

I also go to meet up with a friend, Lisa Rankin. Her husband, Jamey and I went to high school and college together. He is a pilot in the Air Force and unfortunately, got called into work that day so he was unable to make it. Lisa and I (plus Bales) enjoyed some Pad Thai at the Noodles and Co.

On Sunday, Bales and I loaded up and went to our old church, FBC Woodbridge. We were able to go out to eat (Famous Dave's- YUUUUMMMMMMO!) with everyone afterward. It was weird to see everyone still there after 2 years.....so different then the life we are used to living. It was like nothing had changed when I went back. We look forward to going back to the church if we are stationed in Quantico again.

Thanks everyone for a great time! Miss you all!

Penguin Bailey

Bailey had fun today playing with her Penguin. Enjoy :)

Orange Slice

I have been eating a lot of oranges (my favorite seem to be in season) and gave Bales a slice the other day. She really enjoyed it!

Forward Facing

While in Montana, Bailey was able to ride forward facing for the first time. She enjoyed looking out the window and seeing everything.
Does that taste good Bales? Can you tell she has been teething?

Bailey's First Haircut

I have been wanting to cut Bailey's hair for a long time. Blair wished to wait until she was one.... While in Billings, we passed a "Kids Cutz" place and I knew it was the perfect time to make the first cut! Her hair had grown really long and very, very Mullet-ish. Nothing wrong with the mullet per sea, but this is 2008 :). I opted for a cute bowl cut without bangs. She still lets me put her hair up, so I will not cut bangs until that changes (that would require very frequent cuts!). She did really well while getting her hair done.
cute baby girl
getting a little antsy...the hairdresser let her chew on this :)
finished product. It normally doesn't flip out like that much now...more like it curves under. Still, very cute!

Go Gators!

Bailey ready to cheer on the gators, dressed in her cute outfit Grammie C. made her :). Notice the matching doll. Isn't that TOO cute?!?! Thank you Grammie. UF won BIG today. GO GATORS!!!
We went garage selling today with Allison and Jace. They were decked out in their Texas A & M gear. Unfortunately, the aggies didn't fare as well as UF. They lost to Miami :(.
Disregard the faces. Getting two 1year olds (or almost in Jace's case) to sit for a picture is impossible! Both kept wanting to crawl off the couch and this picture was a reaction to us not letting them :). Notice Bailey is much more dramatic then Jace. We have increasingly noticed her "drama" tendencies over Jace's.

Trip to Red Lodge, MT

Gorgeous Red Lodge. It is a "ski town" about an hour south of Billings. They have a good downtown area that we ended walking up and down and going to the ice cream shop.
Are you taking my picture again?
Bailey LOVED the moose :)
Yeah for Rebekah!

Our trip to Montana

Bailey and I flew out to Billings, MT last week. We had a blast and enjoyed every minute with our friend Rebekah. Rebekah and Jeremy are soon moving to Arizona for a job with the Border Patrol.

Bailey did very well on the flights- much better then expected! Below are some pics on the plane. Will be updating with other pics this week of the trip.

We were lucky to have "2 seats" next to each other on some flights. That allowed Bailey to stand and roam around a bit. On those packed flights it was a little rougher.....we were blessed with a couple of wonderful guys on those flights that helped keep her entertained though! She became a hit on all the planes with her cuteness :).

Weekend fun

Just checked Allison's blog (see Schneider script on side bar) and she had several pics of Jace and Bailey up from this weekend. Bailey and I hunkered down with them for Tropical Storm Hanna. Thanks guys for letting us come visit for the day/night! The kiddos did very well.

Bailey's 12 month physical

Bailey had her 12 month physical today. We saw a very good doctor and received some good advice on how to further handle her food allergy issues. She checked out well! Her stats were:
Height: 29 1/2 inches (60%)
Weight: 22lbs (70%)
Head: 46 3/4 cm (75%)

She seems to be evening out (ie her body is growing into her head!!!). She has leaned out a lot since walking, down to only 1-2 thigh rolls :). Here are some cute pics:

Happy Birthday Bailey!

It is hard to believe that 1 year ago at 8:13am I delivered a 6lb 10z baby girl. She is now somewhere around 22 pounds and full of life! We have been so blessed over the past year to have Bailey as our daughter. While we started out with some struggles (nursing, food allergies, deployment), the past 6 months have been a true blast. While her daddy has been gone a lot of her 1st year, she LOVES him and he LOVES her. They always have fun together, even if just over the phone.

Bales and all her presents. Check out the "daddy doll" that I got her :)

Bailey admiring her "allergen free" brownie cake. Yummm...(uh...not really-yuck!)
Daddy spent her birthday with her via the daddy doll. She calls it dada on command. so cute! She refused to eat the brownie though. I don't blame her, it was horrible! Hopefully next year we can have a real cake :)

Go Gators!
Grammie's gator doll. She also made Bailey a matching outfit! Too cute!
Thanks Allison for letting us use your house/tv to watch the game. We REALLY appreciated it....it was a good game ( we won 56-10). :)
